Funeral topics include the wake, funeral ceremony, funeral procession, burial, mourning, and return of the dead. Pregnancy topics cover pre-natal treatment, and post-natal care and confinement. Child-rearing topics comprise such things as naming a child and Chinese birthday traditions.

We're delighted to offer this chance to hear our informal talk about the lifes in Shanghai. Speakers from different background and age group(one is over 70, another is in her late 20's) The older speaker will discuss growing up in Shanghai before, during, and after the Cultural Revolution; his school life in town; and his life as a opera writer in the China. The younger speaker will talk about her experience in life represents the modern younger Chinese, the way they grow up and their dreams and ideas.

Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday celebrated among Chinese people. It is often referred to as the spring festival because it signals the beginning of spring. It is a time when families and friends get together to say goodby to the old and welcome the new. It is a colorful, joyful family celebration, full of interesting symbols and traditions to learn about. You will learn the traditions and customs of Chinese New Year and how to prepare for and celebate Chinese New Year. Traditional changes in the modern days will also be covered during the talk.
